Marisa Padilla, LMFT

If you’re looking for an enthusiastic therapist who will honor how challenging relationships are, empower you to make space for your needs and standards, and get curious with you while keeping it real about the patterns she’s noticing, I’m your girl!

Welcome! My name is Marisa (pronounced Muh-Ree-Suh), and I am the Founder of Illuminated Life Therapy. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 136357) based in beautiful San Diego, California, and it is my hope that I can provide you with a safe space for healing, growth, and commitment to a meaningful life.

I have nearly 10 years of experience working in the field of mental health across populations in San Diego and throughout California. I offer mental health therapy to adults(18+), specializing in work with Millennial and Gen Z individuals who are struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, and trauma related to relationships.

It’s my intention to support you in feeling emotionally secure and empowered in your relationships.

I am intentional about bringing a vibrant spirit to my work with each client. With a passion for creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment, I aim to be authentic and thoughtful in my approach throughout the therapeutic journey, encouraging you to do the same.

Whether you prefer the convenience of Telehealth (online therapy) the therapeutic power of a Walk and Talk session, or the traditional In-Office session, let’s work together to prioritize your mental health, enhance your relationships, and support you in taking steps toward a meaningful life
